About The Event
This session is designed to foster learning, reflection, and solidarity across movements and communities.
In the first hour, we’ll dive into tactical Know Your Rights information designed to help participants understand how to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities when their rights are threatened or violated.
The second hour will feature a group conversation guided by a set of pre-prepared questions. Together, we will explore the broader dynamics that drive migration from Africa, the Caribbean, and Central and South America to the United States, and examine the deep connections between the oppression communities face within the U.S. and the U.S.'s role in global systems of injustice.
Session Objectives:
Provide practical Know Your Rights tools and information
Empower participants to protect themselves and their communities
