About The Event
Join Qibibilosh Productions for Tibebe Hareg, an evening of Ethiopian art, creativity, and cultural exchange.
Led by artist and educator Aleme Tadesse, participants will explore the history, symbolism, and techniques of one of Ethiopia's ancient painting tradition through a hands-on workshop. The evening also features an artist showcase and a community discussion exploring tradition, creativity, and intergenerational exchange.
No previous art experience is required. Children, families, artists, and curious learners of all ages are welcome.
Proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the expansion of Sankofa Video, Books & Café and helping Qibibilosh Productions develop future community programs, workshops, and creative projects.
About the Artist
Aleme Tadesse developed an interest in art at an early age. His family arranged for him to study after school with a renowned traditional Ethiopian church painter, beginning his lifelong engagement with Ethiopian art, history, and visual culture.
