About The Event

Moffatt Ngugi is an ecologist specializing in agriculture, nutrition, and natural resources management. With a background in rangeland management, physical land resources, and agroecology, he brings a multidisciplinary approach to sustainable development. He has worked across diverse global contexts, applying ecological principles to improve food systems and resource use. In his current role, Moffatt facilitates stakeholder engagement to advance food security and nutrition through the sustainable intensification of agricultural production.


 Ali Badawy is a Kenyan-American civic educator, political commentator, and host of The OneMic Show, a widely followed diaspora platform that unpacks Kenyan and African political, social, and economic issues for audiences across the US and beyond. With a deep understanding of Kenya’s historical transitions and their impact on contemporary governance, Ali Badawy has curated and moderated hundreds of conversations featuring leading voices in politics, activism, and culture.
