About The Event
Spoken Dub is a musical artform that reinforces the unity of a scattered people. It is a form of ancestral re-membering by fusing the best in African Diasporic musical and creative traditions.
Spoken Dub has four central ingredients:
1) Continental African Spoken Word Oral Tradition of Djali Kunda’s at times referred to as Griot’s,
2) Roots Reggae of the Caribbean
3) Delta Blues Guitar from the African American tradition and
4) Unapologetic African Global, Social and Cultural Consciousness.
