About The Event
We are thrilled to announce a momentous occasion at our beloved bookstore that marks a significant step towards inclusivity and accessibility. After much anticipation and hard work, we are delighted to celebrate our brand-new ramp by hosting a dedication ceremony on Saturday May 25th from 11am to 12:30pm.
This ramp was made possible through a grant from District Bridges, and it gives Sankofa the ability to be inclusive to a part of the communitiy that was previously unable to access our space. We are so happy to be able to open our space to the accesibility community and want it to be known that we are reaching out to welcome them to Sankofa! It will now be easier for people with baby strollers and heavy suitcases and the such as well!
