Through the sounds of drumming and imaginative storytelling, children will connect with the story’s deep roots in Afrikan tradition, learn about the Gullah Geechee legacy, and experience the power of ancestral memory and resistance—all in a joyful, interactive space made just for them!
Bring the little ones for a joyful storytelling experience where they’ll be read to, inspired, and immersed in the magic of books! A fun and enriching time for children to listen, learn, and enjoy.
Mama Bousaina is an Asante nation (preschool and kindergarten) teacher at one of D.C.’s oldest Afrikan-centered schools, NationHouse.
