INCARNATIONS: Reimagining Haitian Identity
Hayti has died and been reborn many times across 500 years. *Incarnations* traces this cycle of transformation from Taino and African roots through revolution, occupation, earthquake, and diaspora engagement. This work explores Haytian history as a spiritual and collective consciousness that survives every catastrophe. Drawing on scholarship and ancestral wisdom, it reveals Hayti as a living presence shaped by resistance and
spiritual sovereignty across generations.

Raphaël Biassou Hérissé, Ph.D., is a scholar, shaman, artist, and author of Afro-Taino descent. For 20 years, he served as a U.S. Diplomat with USAID, leading agriculture, public-private partnerships, and energy programs across 23 Sub-Saharan Africa countries. In a West African regional role, he facilitated $5.85 billion in private-sector investment and managed complex transactions.
