About The Event
Alma Thomas was the first graduate of Howard's Art Department in 1924. While her early work focused on realism, Alma is most known for her later abstract art. Filled with colorful mosaics, Alma's style radiates joy and happiness. It is for this reason that we highlight her work during Juneteenth- a time of jubilee and celebration!
Join us on our beautiful patio on June 18th at 1pm for a paint class with artist Katmyn Pittman! She will instruct you on technique but allow you free range on your canvas!
