About The Event
The Sankofa Senior choir workshop is a vocal harmony/ensemble singing workshop. All levels of music experience are welcome. We cover proper breathing techniques, ear training, ensemble singing techniques, and interval singing, all while infusing the history of American Classical Music's origins. The workshop participants will learn and perform the following songs (with The Curtis Family on August 30th Noon at Sankofa):
1. The Sankofa theme song (Song for the Gerimas)
2. "Lift Every Voice & Sing"
3. "Summer of Love" Medley featuring songs from the Fifth Dimension and Sly and The Family Stone.
