I am Everything 

is the first of the Adventures of Nana series. In child-friendly prose, this story takes two children on a journey of the universe.  Nana teaches them how to cherise the present, be in awe of the world around them, take deep breaths to ground themselves, and understand both the life cycle and appreciate how fast life is, and use discernment to connect with their life purpose.  At the end, the children are elderly themselves, sharing their adventures with their own grandchildren.  It is based off of the song of the same title by Iffilayo Rao.  Please see the attached selected pages from the book as well as the cover and synopsis.  Please let us know if any further info would be helpful.

About The author 

Dr. Gillian Berry authored The Righteous Sin, a fictional empowerment novel focused on themes surrounding growth and healing particularly for Black women.  Gillian had a wonderful experience doing a book signing and presentation for the Righteous Sin at Sankofa in 2016 and said she would love if she could do so again for her debut children's book!  Gillian has been a clinical social worker for over 35 years, drawing her roots from her late grandfather, a local healer.  Gillian has spent the past few decades practicing and teaching in the DMV.  She takes an Afrocentric approach to her therapy practice and teaching, which is embedded in her upcoming children's book, I am Everything.
