About The Event
In 2013, The June Givanni PanAfrican Cinema Archive was established as a living archive that preserves the history of Black cinema globally. This Monday, we will sit down with June to discuss her contribution to preserving Black cinematic traditions across the globe.
As a film programmer, June collected materials from filmmakers during her travels. Her documentation and preservation efforts support filmmakers, researchers, and the next generation of archivists through her curator trainee program. Join us this coming Monday from 4:30-6:00pm as we discuss the past, present, and future of Pan-African cinema.
