Mira mi gente! There's forever a song in my heart. Once upon a time it was a song by Ben E. King. I remember as a child hearing this song and living in Spanish Harlem and thinking we were not forgotten. Someone, somewhere acknowledged that those of us in Spanish Harlem were immortalized as words in a song.This collection of poems and vignettes are my way of saying that I too remember.
