Yene Shewaneh is the author of The Kid Chemist. She is a mother and a data scientist by profession. In 2009, Yene earned her master's degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. Her prior education includes bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science, which provided her the opportunity to teach science in school and tutor young kids and youth in her spare time. She volunteers at school and in her community, serving children and youth in academics, sports activities, and spiritual wellness.
