"Bare With Me" is a literary whirlwind with heartbreak, vulnerability and survival spinning in its vortex. Duchess uses a gamut of 18 poems to provide an emotional perspective of spiritual evolution through human experiences. The book opens with a vengeful letter to her father's killer, who was found not guilty in the 1998 trial. Her father's death paved a road of grief and creativity after discovering her passion for writing poetry at just 6 years old. Likening herself to the moon, she unveils various stages in her life, from unsuccessful attempts at suicide, to couch surfing, and sleeping in cars in Los Angeles, California.

ABOUT DUCHESS-SIMONE
Duchess-Simone, commonly referred to as TheColorDuchess, is a P.O.E.T. (Person of Enlightened Thought), model, and actress, who is widely known for her alluring purple presence and all of its striking variations. She has contributed to the emerging talent in Los Angeles, and London while working full time in the entertainment industry. After a 3 year hiatus, she awakens her seemingly dormant writing career with intense fervor. Some of her work has been published in Philadelphia's Moonstone Arts themed chapbooks Remembering Gwendolyn Brooks, and Not My President. In addition, Duchess' first collection of poetry, Bare With Me, which intimately chronicles her human experiences, will be available this fall.
